- GRAPHICS: totally new graphics inside the game thanks to the exclusive graphic pathces with over 10 different graphic patches channels. Also, incredible turfs, edited in game indicators. Most of the grapic stuff has been replaced: teeth, players faces, shorts, socks, type of skin, kits, addboard, animated crowd, animated flags for all the leagues. Also 64 stadiums, these are the best stadiums from the best stadium designers (like fifamania.it, fifaitalia.com). ALso some of the best G2 hexedited stadiums from brasil.fifala.com and fifamillennium.com!
- GAME PLAY: for the first time ever!
the patch features a totally different feel. THanks to all the carefully planned Global Changes. The deffense is tougher, the goal keepers less exagerated, the players don't run that much anymore, you can noticie the fatigue in the players. Now FIFA 2000 is not an arcade game anymore!
- TEAMS: over 130 teams from the 10 new leagues (latin america)
also, ALL of the other leagues are updated by the main international patch makers (Chirs davies, Fifamania, GFO, Ignacio Robla..)
- PROGRAMS: FIFA LA will include unique programs that will let you:
install the FIFA LA menus (change the feart folder completely)
install your favorite teams menu
install your desired PGL CHannel (based on your previously selected 3D card and resolution)
run FIFA 2000. This program will be called FIFA LA CENTRAL and will be the main program of the Latin Leagues 2000 channel
-
COMPATIBILITY: the patch is intented to work on most languages. It will be released in spanish, english and portuguese. All of the PGL channels will work with or without 3D mode. As well as the G2 stadiums and in game changes.
ALL of these will soon be published in the Latin Leagues patch. This is the beta version of FIFA LA 2000 and FIFA Millennium 2000.
Also, brasil.fifala.com will soon produce the portuguese version of the patch. Stay tuned, the Latin Leagues countdown has begun!
It will be puslished soon!
Expect the official release date for tomorrow!"
Stay tuned to Fifa2000 Online for more updates on his patch. Thats all from me right now. Have a good weekend. :-)

Villa Park Stadium
Ian Hunt has sent us some information regarding his superb Villa stadiums. (see screenshot) Here is a snippet of what he wants to deliver to you guys:
"The stadium is still about 75% finished. The work, so far, has been on the adboards(mid level trim-plus flags)(ground level official sponsors plus club crest), door and steps.
I would like to add to it further, before releasing it. The first thing I will attend to is to add some more flags over the claret and blue trim. I'm searching through my match programmes for some more examples. I'm also thinking about making changes to the roof to make it more closely resemble the modern areas of the stadium. At the moment I'm a little unsure of how the whole thing's progressing.
Any comments you can give me on the current quality of the stadium would be appreciated. At the moment, the alterations have only been made to "gen43_f.fsh". Do I need to make similar changes to any other files?
Again, thanks for your help. If you want a copy of the stadium to test for yourself, just give me a shout."
You can contact him . Please remember to give your comments by clicking on the link below. :-)

A Public Apology
After a long battle of words and mind with , I've realised that releasing my Sky Sports patch is more trouble that it's worth. After a great response from it, I feel bad throwing in the towel, but I could have expected that long ago after using a tpl file from Ariel Santarelli's pirated PGL "beta". So, sorry for all the inconveniences I have caused to both you, the general public, and Ariel, I never knew it would get so out of hand :-( Look out for the PGL which will be out soon...

News from German Fifa Add-on 2000 (GFA2000)
Now the German FIFA 2000 Online ("GFO2k") is back online we have received the following news from Stefan Münstedt:
The homepage of the GFA 2000 has a new design. It's absolutely great. Better than every other patch-page, how I think. It lives here: http://fifa2000.gnw.de/gfo2k/gfa/
Furthermore there you can get actual info and screenshots of the GFA. We will soon open an English site of the GFA, which will be maintained by Behrang Sohrabi.

The GFA 2000 will have a totally new ingame-graphics engine. For that, we receive help from our friends from FIFA LA. We're already working on it. Furthermore, we're glad to announce, that we can soon publish a beta-version of the GFA. It will include:
- Original data of the 1st German Bundesliga,
- Original Jerseys of the 1st German Bundesliga (in Generation X-quality!!),
- German GK-Jerseys,
- Original German adboards,
- 4 German stadiums (g2),
- New chants
- and a new video clip.

The beta is going to published in about 2 weeks so keep an eye here and over at the official GFA 2000 site for updates on this patch.

We are working on a new patch called MLS2000 North America which will include the top 2 leagues in North America. Here is a run down of the new features:
- New 128color kits: updated MLS kits with sponsors and selected new club kits. We will edit 45 of the 53 kits in FIFA2000
- New Leagues- Mexico, A-League, Costa Rica, and MLS in season mode
- Realistic MLS Mitre ball
- New Turfs created by the turf master himself Shai Ziv.

- ESPN Graphics patch from MLS2000 will be updated.

FIFAMANIA.IT Joins Soccer Gaming's Growing Network
On a day full of new hosted sites at Soccer Gaming, comes the biggest news yet. The hugely popular Italian FIFA site, FIFAMANIA.IT has joined the Soccer Gaming network.
FIFAMANIA.IT is Italy's most popular FIFA website, and is also well respected all over the world as THE site to visit for the best stadiums. The addition of FIFAMANIA.IT to the Soccer Gaming network automatically increases Soccer Gaming's monthly pageviews by over 200,000, thus allowing Soccer Gaming to now boast an overall viewership of over one million (1,000,000) monthly pageviews. With promotional and advertising campaigns planned for both Soccer Gaming and FIFAMANIA.IT we expect the number of monthly visitors to both sites to increase dramaitcally.
FIFAMANIA.IT can be visited by typing either of the following two URLs:
http://www.fifamania.it
http://italia.soccergaming.com
Other sites to join Soccer Gaming today were Footiwarp a uniquely different Fantasy Football game and Football Rank a site that ranks European Club teams. A full description of all the sites can be found at Soccer Gaming.

FIFA Centre Spot
As we're short of news today - I'd like to create something to post. :-) I don't usually like to extract the Michael, but I have to question FIFA Centre Spot's strap-line - "are you afraid of playing the game?" Well, actually, I'm so frightened of touching a button on my joypad that I'd generate a nervous breakdown if I did so! Sorry FSP, couldn't resist :-P hehe

Euro Dream League Patch
Here is a copy of an email I recieved from Emir Misic:
"Hi, I just want to inform you that out team has started work on a new patch called European Dream League Patch ( EDLP ). This patch will include following 18 teams:
Arsenal
Chelsea
Man Utd
Barcelona
Real Madrid
Lazio
Milan
Juventus
Bayern Munich
Bayer Leverkusen
Monaco
Bordeaux
Feyenoord
Porto
Glasgow Rangers
Olympiakos
Galatasaray
all in one league just like it was in FIFA99. There`ll also be 6 more teams in "European 2nd division": Valencia, Leeds, Inter, Rosenborg, PSV Eindhoven & Sparta Prague. All kits & rosters should be updated - that`s where we need folks to help us. We have all home kits, but missing a lot of away kits (at least 80%).
We`ll also need help with the stadiums & menus. The great thing is that the rosters will be 100% accurate as they are edited by the real fans (e.g a Barca fan will edit player appearances, ratings, startng line-up, kick-takers... of that team ). For full info about this patch & screenshots go to: http://edlp2000.cjb.net or mail us: ."
Give him a hand - it's definately worth it! :-)

Speech Patch
I've had a very promising email from Surya Saxena, and he is planning a speech and commentry patch from the speech files in FIFA 98, using the FMN maker. He is "willing to zip and distribute" these files, but he needs a little help from you guys out there in order for him to achieve his goal. Please if you can list him a number of players without speech in FIFA 2000 who had commentry in FIFA 98 (and if possible the club played for in FIFA 98), who you'd like to have authentic commentry for.
If a lot of people contribute information, then this speech patch could be the answer to all our "neglect" to EA after their reduction in the commentry. Although I really do ask myself, "Why the hell didn't they bother carrying the player commentry forward to later versions?" In FIFA 98 there were so many leagues and 99.9% of players had commentry... bit odd that! :-P
