SGOCL 2000 - Released!
I just about made it uploading the huge file... The SGOCL 2000 patch is ready to download! Unfortunately, due to complications, no new stadia or turfs have been included :-( but there are plenty around for you guys to add to the patch yourselves ;-)
Now, this file is 15.4MB in size, so you might want to take some weekend time downloading it. The file is at https://fifa2000.net/downloads/patches/SGOCLSetup.exe. So get downloading!
The Sky Sports graphics patch, which we are very grateful to Xavier Baez of FIFA LA for, will be coming soon, and will be released as soon as it is complete. For now, enjoy what is there at the moment, which is:
- Updated rosters
- Complete jerseys for every Champions League side.
- New music ("The Awakening" by York).
- New ball and adboards.
- New menu backgrounds and graphics.
- Addition of many South American and Aussie sides to the game.
- Pit your wits against a Soccer Gaming side! Play against myself, Matt, Ric, Lior, and every other Soccer Gaming character about, as well as everyone who helped with the patch.
- And a lot more extras...!!
Enjoy!!
For now it is only for the English language versions of the game. By this time next week, patches for each language would have been uploaded. You will still have to download this file though, then the patches will be very small files that update the roster files...

FIFA Super League 2000
I just got word passed to me by Hans-Vidar Martens of FIFA 2000 Online Norge, and here's what he said...
Sign Up Today!
The FIFA Super League 2000 will contain 32 teams who will be spread
over 8 groups. The two best teams in each group will qualify to the
next round. The winner of the finale will get a price.
Do you want to join? Just with this information:
* Your full name
* Which team you want to be
* Your age
* Your e-mail address
* And what you use to connect to the net (ISDN, Cable, Modem)
PS: This is a league only for people in Europe.
Sounds great! Although, personally I'd recommend only a 56k modem or higher, as it is played over Heat, and is extremely slow with a modem - I have first-hand experience of that :-(

SGOCL 2000 - Expect it Soon...!!
The SGOCL 2000 has been completed, all that's left for me to do now is to find the time to upload the bugger! It's a whopping great 14.5MB file, but as a deprived young man with only a 33.6k modem and a 2-hour BT Internet cutoff point, I'm having to think up a way to work around these inconveniences (any ideas let know :-)...
So, look out for it later in the week, most likely I'll have to break it down into small parts and upload them separately, which will also let you download them separately, so it's more convenient to you :-)

The Happenings At Feyenoord FIFA 2000 Site
My oh my, how unlucky can ones get? The guys over at the Feyenoord FIFA 200 Site have told us some bad and quite decent news about their site. For the bad news, their site has been hacked again for the third [!] times. Here's what they need to say more about that:
The Feyenoord FIFA 200 Site was hacked again. This time we have to reset everything and start all over again, fortunately we had a back-up on our computer this time so we still got all the downloads. In the meanwhile we have succeeded to give the site a facelift, we hope everybody like the new design as we are.
They have also managed to put some EURO 2000 materials to the site, and they are going to make a Feyenoord Super Patch in a near time, so be sure to check out their site through this link if you have the time.

FEd2000 Mishap - My Official Apology
Well, do I have a bit of explaining to do? First thing I will say is that I completely messed up and my actions were inexcusable. I have no shame in admitting that I have made a huge blunder. I will now try to explain why this happened, and try to make sense of the past few hours. I hope you will see that I am sincerely sorry for what I have done.
I would like to start off by apologising to anyone involved in the creation of FEd2000 inparticular Joey Jones and Chau Le. The posting of the direct link to download FEd2000 from this site was done in a hurry as I had commitments to attend to on Friday night, and would not have been able to be online to post a link to Joey's Offial FEd2000 site. I completely misunderstood an email that was sent to me earlier in the week containing what I thought was the final version of FEd2000. I was wrong. As you can see by the number of links I had posted to the Official FEd2000 site, I never intended to draw any hits or publicity away from that site.
I would like to thank the people who defended me last night in the forum. As a number of them stated, why would I (Matt Holme) want to deliberately take anything away from FEd2000 by doing something illegal? I have always supported Chau Le and what ever he has done, and I had absolutely no concerns over the FEd2000 site not being part of Soccer Gaming this year.
For those of you who visited this site earlier you would have seen the mess it was in. I don't know who did this, but I do not agree with it. However, due to my incredibly bad mistake I made, I will not take any actions into looking into who did it. I'll simply change the passwords to this site.
I wish I could turn back time and not do what I did. But as we all know this is not possible. All I can say is that I am sorry, and I will make every possible effort to make sure everything is sorted out between the parties involved. If anyone has any questions for me about this, feel free to email me at .
For now, please use the new links at the top of this page to download the full release copy of FEd2000. If you already have FEd2000 and it is working, please download the latest version again also.

Spanish FEd2000
More news about the fabulous new utility, FEd2000. I've just got words from Xavier BÅ ez of the FIFALA that FEd2000 has been released over at FIFALA, which is the official Spanish FEd2000 site. Here's more on what he have said about the official Spanish FEd2000 site:
The site also include the new Spanish forum. This is extremely important because last year there were no Spanish forums or support for this utility. Spanish users can download FEd2000 through this link and go to FIFALA to chat in the official FEd2000 Spanish forum.
Xavier also told me that the Portuguese page and forum are being set up, and they should be up and running really soon. Hop over to FIFALA now to see the latest happenings on these issues.

Beta Version of Latin Graphics Patch
Xavier Baez of the FIFALA has been kind enough to sent us in a beta version of what could be the next best thing in edited graphics after 64/128 colours kits; Latin Graphics Patch (or PGL, taken from its original name in Latin, Patch Grafico Latino). It modifies the scoreboards, pop-ups, penalty menus, crowds, other in-game graphics and the final version which is optimized for 3D mode will soon be released as a part of the FIFALA Patch (that should hopefully be this weekend). Here are couple of the preview screen shots. You can find more information and a gallery full of screen shots over at this address.
Now, as far as I can remember, this is the first graphics patch that was introduced to us back then and it was developed by Ariel Santarelli for FIFALA, so if anyone want to use/modify the PGL in their patch, please respect the creator, Ariel Santarelli and the author, FIFALA, and give the credits they certainly deserve. And if you do use it, Xavier expect you to send the final result to him at so it will be included in the latin graphic patch channels.
Please click here to download the beta version.

Some Downloads - While We Wait For Fed2000
It's actually Friday the 17th, 10:33 AM my time (Australian), so if it was up to me, FEd2000 would be sitting on this page ready for you to download. But, as you all know, this year we did not host the FEd2000 official site. So to be fair, I must wait for Joey to post his links up, so that the site can get the hits and publicity it deserves. Joey Jones has been doing a great job with the site, but due to his timezone, he is probably asleep in bed right now. However, I know Joey is just as commited to getting FEd2000 out to the world as I am. Therefore, I am positive as soon as his alarm clock rings, he'll be online and posting the link right here on the FEd2000 Official site.
While you wait, Lior has been kind enough to post 3 quality sets of files in the Downloads section. They are:
A Latin graphics patch
- The new version of the Millennium Update
-
A Tottenham jersey
We'll have more for you tomorrow, along with FEd2000 ofcourse.

FIFA 2000 on Windows 2000
Many people have e-mailed us about their problems running FIFA 2000 on the new Windows 2000 operating system. Well, it is very fortunate for all of us that we have just got this must-read information regarding the FIFA 2000 compatibility issue on Windows 2000. The following information won't solve all your problems instantly, but it does contain all the explanation to make us understand why FIFA 2000 won't run on Windows 2000, and eventually, the solution for it.
Here's the question and the reply we got from an EA spokeperson about this issue:
Q: Is FIFA 2000 Compatible with Windows 2000? Many of our visitors have wrote to us and said that they couldn't run FIFA 2000 on their Windows 2000 system. Could you please give us confirmation about this, and if there will be any patch for it?
A: There won't be a patch for it at this time. It will be addressed in future FIFA products. The problems are due to the fact that most of the video card vendors don't have complete or non-beta drivers yet so it could be whole host of problems that are being caused by bad drivers. It's not a simple fix.
So for those of you who have problems running FIFA 2000 on Windows 2000, it is highly recommended for you to search and install your up-to-date graphics card driver for Windows 2000. Hope this information can help! =)

60 Euro 2000 Screen Shots
Today I found out that Gamespot UK had posted 60 new screen shots of EA's Euro 2000. Plus a full story on it's features. Here is a snipet:
Euro 2000 will use a brand-new face-texture generator. Team players will look more realistic, with faces generated by combining three source textures from a bank of 20 - it is claimed that a possible 4,000 different permutations can be created this way. There will be 12 stadiums on offer - eight from the tournament and four famous locations for pre-tournament qualifiers. The original 51 competing teams will feature, so Welsh fans can still take their team to the finals.
Although designed and produced by EA Canada, Euro 2000 is being developed by Manchester-based company, Software Creations. EA are aiming for a 5th May release.
The best news I feel is that there are finally player's names on the back of all of the jerseys. We'll have a lot mroe news very soon on this game right here.

FEd2000 May Be Out In 1-2 Weeks
I read over at the Official FEd2000 site that the ultimate FIFA 2000 editor could be out within one week. I've been involved with Chau and FEd since it's beginning in 1998. Since then Chau has copped so much flack about his FEd series its not funny. I've also learnt since those early days and for the sake of not returning to the days of "I came to get FEd2000 and it's 3 hours late, I think FEd2000 is a fake!", I will defintely not be posting a release date on this site. All I will say is that it should be out sometime in the next 1-2 weeks. Keep checking back regularly and one day soon it will simply be sitting here ready for you to download.
